Daily Life Duas

Bismillāh.

In the name of Allah.

Allāhumma innī asʾaluka khayrahā, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihā.

O Allah, I ask You for its good and seek refuge in You from its evil.

Muṭirnā bifaḍlillāhi wa raḥmatih.

We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah.

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina l-khubuthi wa-l-khabāʾith.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from male and female devils.

Allāhumma innī asʾaluka min faḍlik.

O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.

Aʿūdhu billāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm.

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.

Lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu l-mulku wa lahu l-ḥamd, yuḥyī wa yumīt, wa huwa ḥayy lā yamūt, biyadihi l-khayr, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr.

“There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him is all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-Living and does not die. In His Hand is all good, and He has power over all things.”

Tublī wa yukhlifu llāhu taʿālā.

“May you wear it out, and may Allah replace it (for you).”

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhab an-nar

Our Lord, give us good in this world, good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the Fire.

Bismillah, tawakkaltu ‘ala Allah. Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika an adilla aw udalla, aw azilla aw uzalla, aw azlima aw uzlama, aw ajhala aw yujhala ‘alayya

In Allah’s name, I trust in Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from going astray or being led astray, slipping or being made to slip, wronging or being wronged, acting ignorantly or being treated ignorantly.

Allahumma sayyiban nafi‘a

O Allah, make it beneficial rain.

Bismi-llāhi awwalahu wa ākhirah.

“In the name of Allah at its beginning and at its end.”

Al-ḥamdu li-llāhi lladhī aṭʿamanī hādhā, wa razaqanīhi min ghayri ḥawlin minnī wa lā quwwah.

“All praise is for Allah, who has fed me this and provided it for me, without any power or strength from myself.”

Allāhumma bārik lanā fīhi wa zidnā minhu.

O Allah, bless it for us and give us more of it.

Allāhumma laka l‑ḥamdu anta kasawtanīhi, as’aluka min khayrihi wa khayri mā ṣuniʿa lahu, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri mā ṣuniʿa lahu.

“O Allah, all praise is for You. You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good of what it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for.”

Ghufrānaka.

“Your forgiveness (I seek).”
