Mushna is a free Islamic app created to provide a calm space for Quran reading, Duas, Adhkar, prayer-related tools, and daily worship.

This Privacy Policy explains how Mushna handles information when you use the app.

1. No ads and no account required

Mushna does not show ads.

Mushna does not require you to create an account or sign in to use the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information Mushna may use

Mushna is designed to work with minimal personal data. Depending on the features you use, the app may access or store the following information.

Location

Mushna may ask for access to your device location to provide location-based features, such as Qibla direction and prayer times.

For prayer times, Mushna may use your location or selected city to calculate timings using a prayer time service such as the AlAdhan API.

Your location is used only to provide these app features. Mushna does not use your location for advertising.

If you do not allow location access, some location-based features may not work correctly. You may still use other parts of the app.

Saved items and app preferences

Mushna may store information locally on your device, such as:

  • saved Quran verses, Duas, or Adhkar
  • selected Quran translation
  • selected Arabic script
  • selected reciter
  • text size settings
  • theme or appearance preferences
  • Tasbih counts or saved targets
  • other app preferences

This information is stored on your device to make the app experience more useful and personal to you.

Mushna does not send your saved items or app preferences to our own server.

Internet and app content

Some features may require an internet connection, such as Quran audio, prayer times, or other app content that may be loaded from online sources.

When your device connects to online services, standard technical information such as IP address, device type, and request information may be processed by those services as part of normal internet communication.

Audio playback

Mushna includes Quran audio playback. The app does not record your voice and does not access your microphone.

Audio-related permissions, if present, are used only to support playback behavior and audio settings on your device.

3. How Mushna uses information

Mushna uses information only to provide app functionality, such as:

  • calculating Qibla direction
  • showing prayer times
  • saving your preferences on your device
  • showing your saved items
  • playing Quran audio
  • improving the app experience

Mushna does not use your information for advertising.

4. Sharing of information

Mushna does not sell your personal information.

Mushna does not share your personal information with advertisers.

If you use features that require online services, such as prayer times or Quran audio, limited technical information may be processed by the relevant service provider as needed to deliver that feature.

For example, prayer time features may use the AlAdhan API to calculate prayer timings based on your location or selected city.

5. Data stored on your device

Some information is stored locally on your device. This may include saved items, preferences, selected settings, and Tasbih counts.

You can remove locally stored app data by clearing the app data from your device settings or uninstalling the app.

5.1 Device Backups

Mushna stores preferences, saved content, reading progress, and other app settings locally on your device. Depending on your device and backup settings, some local app data may also be included in backups or device-to-device transfers managed by Android or your Google account. Mushna does not operate, access, or control those backups.

6. Analytics and crash reporting

Mushna currently does not require account-based tracking.

If we add analytics or crash reporting tools in the future to improve app stability and performance, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what information is collected and how it is used.

7. Children’s privacy

Mushna is intended for a general audience. The app does not require account creation and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review and respond appropriately.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to keep the app experience safe and respectful. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
