Hadith
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

Transliteration

Allahumma Rabb an-nas adhhibil-ba’s washfi anta ash-Shafi la shifa’a illa shifa’uka shifa’an la yughadiru saqama

Translation

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.

Background

Several authentic narrations describe the Prophet ﷺ visiting the sick, placing his hand on them, and saying “Allāhumma Rabban‑nās, adhhib al‑ba’s, ishfi anta ash‑Shāfī…” asking for cure that leaves no disease. The dua recognizes Allah as the Lord of all people and the only true Healer, while asking for a complete cure that removes harm fully. It was part of his practice when visiting ill family members and companions
