Funeral Prayer Dua

Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn. Allāhumma’jurnī fī muṣībatī, wa akhlif lī khayran minhā.

Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we return. O Allah, reward me in my calamity and replace it for me with something better than it.

As-salāmu ʿalaykum dāra qawmin muʾminīn, wa innā in shāʾ Allāhu bikum lāḥiqūn.

Peace be upon you, dwelling of believing people. And indeed, if Allah wills, we will join you.

Anta waliyyunā faghfir lanā warḥamnā wa anta khayrul-ghāfirīn.

You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the best of forgivers.

Allāhumma innā nas’aluka mūjibāti raḥmatik, wa ʿazā’ima maghfiratik, wa-s-salāmata min kulli ithm, wal-ghanīmata min kulli birr, wal-fawza bil-Jannah, wa-n-najāta mina-n-nār.

O Allah, we beg You for all that which will necessitate Your mercy and the determination to do all that which will necessitate Your forgiveness; for protection from every sin and accomplishment of every good; for attainment of Paradise and for freedom from Hell-fire.

Allāhumma bārik lahum fīmā razaqtahum, waghfir lahum, warḥamhum.

O Allah, bless them in what You have provided them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.

Allāhumma innī ẓalamtu nafsī ẓulman kathīrā, wa lā yaghfiru adh-dhunūba illā anta, faghfir lī maghfiratan min ʿindik, warḥamnī, innaka anta al-ghafūru ar-raḥīm.

O Allah, I have wronged myself greatly, and none forgives sins except You. So forgive me with forgiveness from You and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
