Visiting the Sick: No Harm, Purification

As’alu llāha l-ʿaẓīma rabba l-ʿarshi l-ʿaẓīm an yashfiyak.

I ask Allah, the Magnificent, Lord of the Mighty Throne, to cure you.

Bismillah … a‘udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru

Say “Bismillah” three times, then seven times: I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil I feel and fear.

Rabbi-j‘al hadhal-balad aminan wajnubni wa baniyya an na‘budal-asnam

My Lord, make this land safe and keep me and my children away from idol worship.

Ashhadu an lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluh.

I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar. Subḥāna alladhī sakhkhara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahu muqrinīn, wa innā ilā rabbinā lamunqalibūn. Allāhumma innā nasʾaluka fī safarinā hādhā al-birra wa-t-taqwā, wa mina l-ʿamali mā tarḍā...

Allah is the Greatest. Glory be to the One who subjected this to us, and we could not have subdued it ourselves; surely to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You in this journey for righteousness, piety, and deeds that please You...

Allāhumma aṭʿim man aṭʿamanī, wasqi man saqānī.

O Allah, feed the one who fed me, and give drink to the one who gave me drink.
