Background & benefit
This record corresponds to the prophetic dua “Allāhumma innī as’aluka al‑ʿafwa wa al‑ʿāfiyah…” in which the Prophet ﷺ teaches asking for pardon and well‑being in religion, world, family, and wealth. Multiple narrations show the Prophet ﷺ urging companions to make this a daily request, highlighting that a life with spiritual safety and general well‑being is one of the greatest blessings.
It encourages believers not only to ask for specific things, but for a state of being pardoned and protected across all aspects of life.
