Source & authenticity
Source: Hadith/Dhikr
Reference: Sunan Ibn Mājah 897; also cited alongside Abū Dāwūd’s description of this
Authenticity: Sahih
Ibn Mājah 897 is graded ṣaḥīḥ by Darussalam, and it clearly states that the Prophet ﷺ used this dua between the two prostrations. Caution: There are longer variants reported in other books (adding “warḥamnī, wajburnī, …”), but to keep wording source-safe this record should stick to the simple form that is explicitly authenticated.
