Transliteration

Allāhumma bāʿid baynī wa bayna khaṭāyāya kamā bāʿadta bayna l-mashriqi wa-l-maghrib...

Translation

O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the east from the west...

Background

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Allāhumma iftaḥ lī abwāba raḥmatik.

O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

Dua for Forgiveness Before Tasleem

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ، وَارْحَمْنِي، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

Allāhumma innī ẓalamtu nafsī ẓulman kathīrā, wa lā yaghfiru adh-dhunūba illā anta, faghfir lī maghfiratan min ʿindik, warḥamnī, innaka anta al-ghafūru ar-raḥīm.

O Allah, I have wronged myself greatly, and none forgives sins except You. So forgive me with forgiveness from You and have mercy on me. Indeed, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

Adam’s Repentance

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa il-lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lanakunanna minal-khasirin

Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers.
