Source & authenticity

Source: Hadith/Dhikr

Reference: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5072; also found in other collections and summarized in Hisn al‑Muslim+1

Authenticity: Hasan/Sahih

Abū Dāwūd 5072 describes a man who served the Prophet ﷺ reporting this as a morning and evening dhikr, and later scholars (including al‑Albānī) regard the hadith as authentic or ḥasan. Caution: Many posters mention saying it three times morning and evening, based on dhikr manuals; readers should be told that repeating it three times is recommended practice, not an absolute condition for its benefit.
