Write Us Among the Witnesses of Truth

Rabbanā āmannā bimā anzalta wattabaʿnā ar-rasūla faktubnā maʿa ash-shāhidīn.

Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and followed the Messenger, so write us among the witnesses.

Rabbana innanā samiʿnā munādiyān yunādī lil-īmān an āminū birabbikum fa-āmannā, rabbana faghfir lanā dhunūbanā wa kaffir ʿannā sayyiātinā wa tawaffanā maʿa l-abrār. Rabbana wa ātinā mā waʿadtanā ʿalā rusulika wa lā tukhzinā yawma l-qiyāmah, innaka lā tukh'lifu l-mīʿād.

“Our Lord, we have heard a caller to faith, saying, ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins, wipe out our misdeeds, and cause us to die with the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Surely You never break Your promise.”

Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba‘da idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmah innaka antal-Wahhab

Our Lord, do not let our hearts swerve after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. You are the Bestower.

Rabbana ma khalaqta hadha batilan subhanaka faqina ‘adhab an-nar

Our Lord, You did not create this without purpose; glory be to You, so protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Rabbanā taqabbal minnā, innaka anta as-samīʿu al-ʿalīm.

Our Lord, accept this from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.

Rabbanā innaka jāmiʿu an-nāsi li-yawmin lā rayba fīh, inna Allāha lā yukhlifu al-mīʿād.

Our Lord, indeed You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise.
