اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَةً مِّنكَ ۖ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ

Transliteration

Allāhumma rabbanā anzil ʿalaynā māʾidatan mina as-samāʾi takūnu lanā ʿīdan li-awwalinā wa-ākhirinā wa-āyatan minka, warzuqnā wa-anta khayru ar-rāziqīn.

Translation

O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us, and a sign from You. Provide for us, and You are the best of providers.

Background

Prophet Isa عليه السلام made this dua when his disciples asked for a table spread from heaven. He asked Allah for a sign and for provision while recognizing Allah as the best provider.

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

Rabbi innī limā anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqīr.

My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.

Why this dua?

For rizq, help, marriage, work, and expressing need to Allah.

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

Rabbana-ghfir li wa liwalidayya wa lil-mu’minina yawma yaqumul-hisab

Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day the reckoning is established.

Send Among Them a Messenger

رَبَّنَا وَابْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Rabbanā wabʿath fīhim rasūlan minhum yatlū ʿalayhim āyātika wa-yuʿallimuhumu al-kitāba wal-ḥikmata wa-yuzakkīhim, innaka anta al-ʿazīzu al-ḥakīm.

Our Lord, send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

For knowledge, purification, and righteous teaching in a community.

Enable Me to Be Grateful

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Rabbi awzi‘ni an ashkura ni‘mataka allati an‘amta ‘alayya wa ‘ala walidayya wa an a‘mala salihan tardahu wa adkhilni birahmatika fi ‘ibadikas-salihin

My Lord, inspire me to thank You for Your favour upon me and my parents, to do righteous deeds You accept, and admit me by Your mercy among Your righteous servants.

Why this dua?

It encourages believers to see everyday incidents as reminders to thank Allah, ask for help in doing good, and seek an honorable place among the righteous.

Do Not Make Us a Trial for Those Who Disbelieve

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Rabbanā lā tajʿalnā fitnatan lilladhīna kafarū, waghfir lanā rabbanā innaka antal-ʿazīzul-ḥakīm.

Our Lord, do not make us a trial for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

A dua for protection, forgiveness, and dignity when faith is tested or believers are under pressure.
