Rescue Us From the Oppressive People

Quran

رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا

Transliteration

Rabbanā akhrijnā min hādhihi al-qaryati aẓ-ẓālimi ahluhā, wajʿal lanā min ladunka waliyyan, wajʿal lanā min ladunka naṣīrā.

Translation

Our Lord, take us out of this town whose people are oppressors, and appoint for us from Yourself a protector, and appoint for us from Yourself a helper.

فَقَالُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ۝ وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Faqālū ʿalā llāhi tawakkalnā, rabbana lā tajʿalnā fitnatan lil-qawmi ẓ-ẓālimīn. Wa najjinā biraḥmatika mina l-qawmi l-kāfirīn.

“They said, ‘In Allah we trust. Our Lord, do not make us a trial for the wrongdoing people, and save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.’”

Rabbana afrigh ‘alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana wansurna ‘alal-qawm il-kafirin

Our Lord, pour patience upon us, make our steps firm, and grant us victory.
