Surah Ad-Duhaa
Surah Ad-Duhaa (The Morning Brightness) is Surah 93 of the Holy Quran, a Meccan Surah with 11 verses, available here in English.
Verse 93:1
وَالضُّحٰی ۟ۙ
Waḍ-Ḍuḥaa,
By the morning sunlight,
Verse 93:2
وَالَّیْلِ اِذَا سَجٰی ۟ۙ
Wal-Layli ʹiẓaa sajaa,―
and the night when it falls still!
Verse 93:3
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰی ۟ؕ
Maa- wad-daʻaka Rabbuka wa-maa q̣alaa.
Your Lord ˹O Prophet˺ has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful ˹of you˺.
Verse 93:4
وَلَلْاٰخِرَةُ خَیْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْاُوْلٰی ۟ؕ
Wa-lalʹAakhiratu khayrul laka minal ʹOolaa.
And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one.
Verse 93:5
وَلَسَوْفَ یُعْطِیْكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضٰی ۟ؕ
Walasawfa yuʻṭeeka Rabbuka fatarḍaa.
And ˹surely˺ your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased.
Verse 93:6
اَلَمْ یَجِدْكَ یَتِیْمًا فَاٰوٰی ۪۟
ʹAlam yajidka yateemañ faʹaawaa?
Did He not find you as an orphan then sheltered you?
Verse 93:7
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدٰی ۪۟
Wa-wajadaka ḍaaal-lañ fahadaa.
Did He not find you unguided then guided you?
Verse 93:8
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآىِٕلًا فَاَغْنٰی ۟ؕ
Wa-wajadaka ʻaaaʹilañ faʹag̣naa.
And did He not find you needy then satisfied your needs?
Verse 93:9
فَاَمَّا الْیَتِیْمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ ۟ؕ
Faʹammal yateema falaa taq̣har,
So do not oppress the orphan,
Verse 93:10
وَاَمَّا السَّآىِٕلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ ۟ؕ
Wa-ʹammas saaa-ʹila falaa tanhar:
nor repulse the beggar.
Verse 93:11
وَاَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ ۟۠
Wa-ʹammaa biniʻmati Rabbika faḥaddis̤!
And proclaim the blessings of your Lord.
