Verse 26:1
Ṭaa-Seeen-Meeem.
Ṭâ-Sĩn-Mĩm.
Verse 26:2
Tilka ʹAayaatul Kitaabil mubeen.
These are the verses of the clear Book.
Verse 26:3
Perhaps you ˹O Prophet˺ will grieve yourself to death over their disbelief.
Verse 26:4
ʹIn nashaʹ nunazzil ʻalayhim minas samaaaʹi ʹAayatañ faz̤̣allat ʹaʻnaaq̣uhum lahaa khaaḍiʻeen.
If We willed, We could send down upon them a ˹compelling˺ sign from the heavens, leaving their necks bent in ˹utter˺ submission to it.
Verse 26:5
Wa-maa yaʹteehim miñ Ẓikrim minar Raḥmaani muḥdas̤in ʹillaa kaanoo ʻanhu muʻriḍeen.
Whatever new reminder comes to them from the Most Compassionate, they always turn away from it.
Verse 26:6
Faq̣ad kaẓẓaboo fasayaʹteehim ʹambaaaʹu maa- kaanoo bihee yastahziʹoon!
They have certainly denied ˹the truth˺, so they will soon face the consequences of their ridicule.
Verse 26:7
ʹA-walam yaraw ʹilal ʹarḍi kam ʹambatnaa feehaa miñ kulli zawjiñ kareem?
Have they failed to look at the earth, ˹to see˺ how many types of fine plants We have caused to grow in it?
Verse 26:8
ʹInna fee ẓaalika laʹAayah: wa-maa kaana ʹaks̤aruhum Muʹmineen.
Surely in this is a sign. Yet most of them would not believe.
Verse 26:9
Wa-ʹinna Rabbaka la-Huwal ʻAzeezur Raḥeem.
And your Lord is certainly the Almighty, Most Merciful.
Verse 26:10
Wa-ʹiẓ naadaa Rabbuka Moosaaa ʹaniʹ til q̣awmaz̤̣ z̤̣aalimeen,
˹Remember˺ when your Lord called out to Moses, “Go to the wrongdoing people—
Verse 26:11

the people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear ˹Allah˺?”
Verse 26:12
Q̣aala Rabbi ʹinneee ʹakhaafu ʹañy yukaẓẓiboon:
He replied, “My Lord! I fear that they will reject me.
Verse 26:13
Wa-yaḍeeq̣u ṣadree wa-laa yañṭaliq̣u lisaanee faʹarsil ʹilaa Haaroon.
And ˹so˺ my heart will be broken and my tongue will be tied. So send Aaron along ˹as a messenger˺.
Verse 26:14
Wa-lahum ʻalayya ẓambuñ faʹakhaafu ʹañy yaq̣tuloon.
Also, they have a charge against me, so I fear they may kill me.”
Verse 26:15
Q̣aala kallaa! faẓhabaa biʹAayaatinaaa ʹinnaa maʻakum mustamiʻoon.
Allah responded, “Certainly not! So go, both of you, with Our signs. We will be with you, listening.
Verse 26:16
Faʹtiyaa Firʻawna faq̣oolaaa ʹinnaa Rasoolu Rabbil ʻaalameen,
Go to Pharaoh and say, ‘We are messengers from the Lord of all worlds,
Verse 26:17
ʹAn ʹarsil maʻanaa Baneee ʹIsraaaʹeel.
˹commanded to say:˺ ‘Let the Children of Israel go with us.’’”
Verse 26:18
Q̣aala ʹalam nurabbika feenaa waleedañw walabis̤ta feenaa min ʻumurika sineen?
Pharaoh protested, “Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you stayed several years of your life in our care?
Verse 26:19
Wa-faʻalta faʻlatakal latee faʻalta wa-ʹañta minal kaafireen!
Then you did what you did, being ˹utterly˺ ungrateful!”
Verse 26:20
Q̣aala faʻaltuhaaa ʹiẓañw Waʹana minaḍ ḍaaalleen.
Moses replied, “I did it then, lacking guidance.
Verse 26:21
Fafarartu miñkum lam-maa khiftukum fawahaba lee Rabbee ḥukmañw wajaʻalanee minal mursaleen.
So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers.
Verse 26:22
Wa-tilka niʻmatuñ tamunnuhaa ʻalayya ʹan ʻabbatta Baneee ʹIsraaaʹeel!
How can that be a ‘favour,’ of which you remind me, when ˹it was only because˺ you ˹have˺ enslaved the Children of Israel?”
Verse 26:23

Q̣aala Rabbul mashriq̣i wal-mag̣ribi wa-maa baynahumaa! ʹiñ kuñtum taʻq̣iloon!

Verse 26:30
Q̣aala ʹawalaw jiʹtuka bishayʹim mubeen?
Moses responded, “Even if I bring you a clear proof?”
Verse 26:31
Q̣aala faʹti biheee ʹiñ kuñta minaṣ ṣaadiq̣een!
Pharaoh demanded, “Bring it then, if what you say is true.”
