Background & benefit

Background

Ibrahim continues his supplications by asking Allah to make him and some of his descendants people who establish the prayer properly, then asking that his dua be accepted. This verse shows the priority Ibrahim gave to ṣalāh for himself and his family, even after his immense sacrifices and achievements. It reminds parents that the spiritual future of their children is a major concern of the prophets.

Benefit

It encourages a believer to ask not only for personal devotion but for generations of worshippers, tying family success to consistent, heartfelt prayer.
