Dua for the Host After Eating

Hadith/Dhikr

اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ، وَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ، وَارْحَمْهُمْ

Transliteration

Allāhumma bārik lahum fīmā razaqtahum, waghfir lahum, warḥamhum.

Translation

O Allah, bless them in what You have provided them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ مُبَارَكًا عَلَيْهِ كَمَا يُحِبُّ رَبُّنَا وَيَرْضَى

Al-ḥamdu lillāhi ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīhi, mubārakan ʿalayhi kamā yuḥibbu rabbunā wa yarḍā

All praise is for Allah: abundant, pure praise, blessed in it and blessed upon it, as our Lord loves and is pleased with.

Why this dua?

For praising Allah with abundant, pure and blessed praise, especially when expressing gratitude and humility before Allah.
