Translation
O Allah, all praise belongs to You. O Allah, no one can withhold what You have expanded, and no one can expand what You have withheld. No one can guide whom You allow to go astray, and no one can mislead whom You guide. No one can give what You prevent, and no one can prevent what You give. O Allah, cause us to die as Muslims and give us life as Muslims. O Allah, deal with those who deny Your messengers and block others from Your path, O God of Truth.

Background & benefit
This supplication is reported from the aftermath of Uhud, when the Prophet ﷺ praised Allah and affirmed that all giving, withholding, guidance and misguidance are under Allah’s control. The final lines belong to a battlefield context and should be read with that setting in mind.
For praising Allah after hardship, remembering His complete control over giving and withholding, and asking to live and die upon Islam.
Recite the praise and submission portions as general dua. Treat the conflict-specific wording as historical battle-context text, not as a general personal supplication against individuals.
