Virtue and context
Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) reported that he prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night. At the opening takbir, the Prophet ﷺ magnified Allah as the Possessor of all power, sovereignty, magnificence and might. In bowing he glorified his Almighty Lord; when he raised his head, he twice declared that all praise belongs to his Lord; in prostration he glorified his Most High Lord; and between the two prostrations he twice asked his Lord to forgive him.
The Prophet’s standing, bowing, posture after rising from bowing, prostration and sitting between the two prostrations were nearly equal in length.
